Enjoy fast riding through the wild expanse of Wyoming through forests, rivers, meadows and the foothills of the Wind River Mountains.

Real family run working cattle ranch suitable for beginner onwards, hot tub, twin rooms and shared bathrooms. Genuine hospitality, good range of horses, max of 8 guests each week.
Departure Dates:
  • 2019: 18 May to 19 October - Saturday arrival
  • Trip Length: 8 days/7 nights, 12 days/11 nights or 15 days/14 nights
  • Approximate riding time per day: 3+ hours
  • Meeting point: Rapid City Airport (RAP) or ranch.
  • Riding Ability Required: The ability to walk, trot and canter on a good horse, and spend a minimum of 3 hours a day in the saddle. Minimum age is 16
  • Usual Group Size: 1-8
  • Transfer: 2018: $150 round trip per person payable locally (125 miles to ranch). Please arrive by 6pm for pick up. Return to airport from 10am. Car hire is also a good option.

A family-run 10,000 acre working ranch in the breathtaking Black Mountains of Wyoming with trail rides, cattle wrangling and various other activities including fishing and kayaking.

Cattle drives take place every week during the summer as the herds are moved around the huge grazing pastures, while special activities like branding and rodeos take place on specialty weeks throughout the year.

  • Trip Length: 7 days/6 nights (other length stays available on request, minimum 3 nights)
  • Approximate riding time per day: 5-6 hours
  • Meeting point: Rapid City Airport (RAP)
  • Riding Ability Required: From novice onwards, all abilities can be catered for. Children aged 4-5 can learn to ride at the ranch.

  • Transfer: 2019: From Rapid City or Gillette airport $100 per person return payable on-site (2hrs). Guests should arrive before 7pm and depart after 8am.
Riding at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains
