Unicorn Trails began in 1998 when Wendy Hofstee, a veterinary surgeon and horse lover, traveled the world. During her journeys, she met many incredible individuals who shared her passion for horses and showed her amazing places to ride. But with the good came the bad, and Wendy witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of neglect and inappropriate treatment of horses. Motivated to make a difference, she founded Unicorn Trails to offer riders with exceptional riding holidays worldwide while prioritising the welfare of the horses.
