Nicolas is of French origin, fluent in many languages including English and passionate about travel on horseback with a special affinity for central Asia. Nicolas completed a one year bicycle trip around the world in 2002, he was only 23 years old and wrote a book “En roue libre sur les sentiers du monde”, he crossed the Atlantic ocean in 2008 and worked for a few months in Darfur before commencing his geopolitics studies. In 2009, he completed a solo trip on horseback from Kazakhstan to Kabul, 4000km across the Tien Shan in Kyrgystan, Pamir in Tajikistan and Hindu Kush in Afghanistan. He wrote a book “Cavaliers des Steppes” in 2010 about his experiences on this trip.
