Nature's autumn colours

AUTUMN HIGHLIGHTS TRAIL - CANADA

more photos | enquiry | availability check

"It was autumn, an autumn with beautiful weather. Indian Summer - a season that exists only in North America..."

Set at the gateway to the Frontenac and Mt Megantic National Parks and facing the majestic Appalachian Mountain chain, this horse riding holiday in Canada takes you to the heart of pristine and wild nature. We will be riding through extensive forests of maple, birch, pine and fir enjoying beautiful landscapes punctuated by maple sugar cabins, rolling hills, lakes and rivers. Clothed in blazing colour, autumn's nature heralds the Indian summer, a magic time of golden warmth and palettes of crimson and gold to be savoured before the first snowfall. Foliage transforms itself, the splendour of the New World. Amazingly this happens twice a year- in spring also the colours are uniquely bright enough to warm your heart.
The horses Appaloosa and Quarter horses are responsive and well schooled, ridden in western style and the accommodation in cosy Inns with one night in a teepee beside a roaring campfire. Visit the historic city of Quebec on the last day before returning home.
