Much better guides than any other holiday I've been on. Leticia and the gauchos had endless patience and tirelessly accommodated the needs of the group - ie faster riding, amadillo catching. The gauchos had no english but their warmth and their great sense of humour made it a priviledge to ride with them.

All the horses were a pleasure to ride - very responsive and willing. The horses at El Sauce and El Charabon were among the best horses I have ever ridden. The horse I rode At El Charabon was a racehorse and in glowing health - a true priviledge to ride and a most exhilarating experience!

Please tell people in future that the ride stops about 200 km from montevideo so dont book flights that depart earlier than about 21.00! I read the ride summary and assumed the ride finished near montevideo so had to cut my last ride short which was a great shame and caused no end of problems for leticia.
You couldnt I dont think! It was absolutely perfect.

There can be a lot of galloping in this ride if the group is advanced but even then you have the option to stay at a canter as there are enough guides to split the group. However there is also the option to run races - very good fun!
There were a few times when I had to jump mid gallop - generally over ditches and small flooded areas but there isnt really any jumping as the horses are not trained to jump.
Not having to tackup also took the stress out of the experience.

This holiday was about as good as it gets! I would love to go back and maybe work some more in the estancias with the sheep and cattle. The people and horses were amazing.
