We had two guides. The first one on Saturday and Sunday was very good, great horsewoman (riding an ex-racing thorough-bred), happy to go on long canters and concerned about safety without going overboard. Second guide on Monday seemed worried about controlling her horse (same thoroughbred some maybe not use to it?) and never went into long canters, breaking them into smaller canters instead which was a shame. Monday's weather was not good and this obviously impacted the pace of the ride but we still missed some good opportunities for canters and I don't understand why.

I rode Thomas (aka Buttons) who was brilliant. Very responsive and forward going and a pleasure to ride with a comfortable pace at trot and canter. He also could "extend" his walk instead of starting to jog/trot like some horses do.

Well, this beeing Wales we didn't expect miracles about the weather. Monday was the "worst" day with all day drizzle and wind but overall very good, especially on Sunday

Good pace and terrain, but the horses are good which makes it much easier.
