I have graded the pace of the rides as fair. I am possibly being a little unfair here as the pace was in many ways dictated by the terrain. However, you need to be aware that there can be long periods of walking due to the terrain. That said I was never bored as the scenery is spectacular and my little horse was so much fun that I enjoyed riding her at any pace. There were however a couple of times when I did feel we could have had a little bit of a canter but the opportunity was not taken.

The horse care and condition of the tack was about the best I have seen anywhere. They clealry love their horses very much.

I have graded the transfer arrangments as poor because to be frank they were! We were left waiting in the cold and rain at the railway station upon arrival for a long time. This was the only major blight on the whole trip and at the time I was very annoyed however everything else on theholiday made up for it so I have forgiven them however they need to sort this out!
I have also graded the food as "fair" as whilst there ws nothing wrong with it the meals in the evenings were in rural pubs with relatively limited options. The cooked breakfast at all locations was excellent.

2. I think a few more canters could have been squeezed in on the morning of the last days. I would never canter a tired horse but they were not tired and we could have had a few canters. That said on other days we had some amazing lovely canters!

I have observed some other reviewers say this is a difficult ride and this is a tricky one. Some of the terrain is quite rough and you do go up and done some steep inclines however if you ride out a lot then I don't myself percieve this as difficult in itself. We only cantered on absolutely perfect ground. I think the thing I found the toughest is that day 1 and day 3 are very long days in the saddle and I was very tired.
