Nicholas obviously has a lot of knowledge about local culture etc as he's lived in the area for some time, but didn't generally impart information unless asked. We were provided with a booklet on arrival with a lot of information about the ride and the area which was very informative, but it would have been nice to have had more information as we went along.

The horses were lovely and it has been really good experience for me to ride something different. My horse was very good to handle, sensitive, forward, light and spirited. She enjoyed her gallops but was generally easy to control which made such a nice change from stronger, heavier horses I've ridden in the past who have nearly pulled my arms out trying to keep them at a distance from the horse in front!

The weather was fantastic and because there had been recent rain, everywhere was very green with lots of spring flowers. There was generally a cool wind which helped in the heat. I wouldn't want to do this ride any later in the year, especially with some of the climbs up hills!

Great as it is. It would be nice to have some table wine included with evening meals - I know Turkish wine isn't the best but everything I tried was fine and there are some local vineyards who are trying to produce a variety of wines from the area!

The score you give the ride obviously depends on your riding experience. I've done a couple of trails in the Pyrenees so am used to mountain riding, steep descents and ascents and leading your horse up and down, so by comparison this ride was easier. There were usually a couple of canters and gallops each day and these were always on tracks so not in open order which meant they were well controlled. Everybody was an experienced rider in our group so they always kept their distance.

Fantastic scenery, amazing towns and villages and would definitely recommend this trail.
