While Claude was perfectly willing to translate, it was a great advantage to speak some French, otherwise I might have felt somewhat isolated as the rest of the pilgrims were mostly French and Spanish. The nights of dormitory accommodation in the hostels were a bit of a shock, but having done it I could see that it would have been impossible to arrange anything else. What could we do to improve this ride? Any improvements would prove impossible to organise, it was very well organised.
