All the guides spoke Italian, English and German.
As the rest of the group were German speakers they tended to default to this.

The welfare of the horses was uppermost in the minds of all of the staff. When one of the horses I rode had a problem it was immediately removed from the ride and kept under close observation.

I would not recommend it for singles particularly - especially if they are uncomfortable being the only English speaking guest. Most of the guests are Swiss and German and whilst they do speak English it can get a little lonely at times.

The guides adjust the ride to suit the group. There were two groups riding whilst I was there (mine and a beginners). The Western saddles make everything feel much safer.
The horses are wonderfully sure-footed and seem to be able to cope with the steepest of climbs. Some of the trails are very adventurous (very narrow and steep.)

Efficient, friendly and suggested just the right riding holiday for me when the Western Riding in Portugal dates didn't work out.

If travelling alone be aware that German was the first language of most of the guests and the second language of at least two of the guides. I'd suggest taking a friend (In fact I'm planning to return!). If you do come alone hire a car so that you can go and explore when not riding. (Although the lovely patron will organise a trip for you if needed). The weather at Easter is variable - one of the days we did not ride as it was so cold and wet! They will provide chaps, waterproofs etc.
