I think a novice rider would struggle with some aspects of the riding unless they were very fit and pretty brave! There were some of the riders on the tour who found the pace too fast especially in the downhill rocky sections and struggled to control their horses. We loved it!! What could we do to improve this ride? How would you rate the difficulty of this ride out of 10 where 1 is very easy and 10 is very advanced? 6 Please explain why you scored it as you did The horses are good sure footed and very sensible, but they are very forward going,and this can be a bit of a culture shock to english riders especially when travelling down steep slops and on rough terrain. You needed to have pretty good balance in sections to stay secure in the saddle. Icelandic horses are like nothing I have ever ridden before and it has been a wonderful experience. Unicorn comments
