Brive / Souillac
Getting to Brive
In June 2010 a new airport opened in Brive, called Brive La Gaillarde Laroche. So far there is one direct flight operating from the UK which is from London City Airport with City Jet. Flights operate 3 times a week on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, currently from June to September. From May to October Jet2.com are also operating flights from Manchester to Brive (Dordogne Valley) on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
This airport is only 9km from the stables and your hosts will run airport transfers.
Alternatively you will need to fly to Limoges or Bordeaux and then get a train to either Brive or Souillac station. We have found the connections more convenient from Limoges.

Continuing your journey to the Ride
On arriving at Limoges airport you will need to get a taxi from outside the terminal to Limoges train station. The cost of a taxi is around €20 and takes about 20 minutes. It is in the centre of the town, so if you have time to wait for your train, you can explore the town with its shops and restaurants. You then get a train to Brive, €25, or Souillac, €30. (Prices approximate, updated 2010) You will be picked up by your host from either train station.
