Being a lone female traveller I was nervous about travelling and wasn't sure what to expect. I was met by my guide at the airport and from this moment forward I had the time of my life. I felt safe in the company of the guides and I was never left on my own, great guys, thank you!

I met my horse, Tiger, he was beautiful and best of all responsive. The skills and fitness of these horses is unbelievable, some of the terrain is difficult and very steep but Tiger was confident and his footing was very sure. We used western style saddles which were very comfortable as some days we were riding for 7-8 hours. I had plenty of chances to gallop, Tiger proved to be an all round fantastic horse.

I was kept well informed by Unicorn before travelling, thank you.
The only thing I can say would be to inform travellers of how many other tourists will be on the trip. I was met by my guide at the airport and informed that I was the only person on the trek.

Some of the terrain is very steep and rocky, just have confidence in your horse as they are trained to a very high standard, wonderful horses.

During the evenings I went out for runs/walks, bring a pair of off road running shoes or trainers if you are into fitness, great runs and walks available. The second night I stayed at a monastery and followed the signs 'Ekonbteka', really enjoyed this walk.

The accommodation is basic but very clean. Just remember to bring a towel, I had one and wished I had packed a few more.
I can honestly say this was the best holiday I have been on. If you want to see a beautiful country on the back of a fantastic horse, book it.
