The horses were confident and sure footed. I totally fell in love with the horse I was riding - Johnny. Some of the horses didn't interact well with others in the group, but once this was established it was rarely a problem.

The mountain lodges were very basic but ok but do not expect luxury. However this enhanced the holiday experience as the settings of the lodges were isolated and the views were fantastic. The only difference in the itinery was that we thpught we would get to swim with the horses, which we didn't. The weather was very changable and we had a lot of rain.

We never packed towels - thinking these would be needed for the swoimming - however none of the lodges have towels. we had none and misses out on a couple of showers - but it kept the flies away!!
Nothing - I enjoyed the whole experience.

The ride isn't a hard ride but you have to have the confidence to attempt some of the terrain you ride through which is steep mountain paths. Up is ok - down is more challenging especially on the knees. We had a 10 year old with us who managed the whole ride without problems and thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was our second holiday with you and we are looking at holidays for next year already.

The whole holiday was a great adventure and a chance to look at the real Bulgaria.
