You will gather from the above that we thought the ride was excellent. Patrick and his family/back-up were great 'down to earth' hosts who were clearly as excited about the trail as we were. The pace of the ride was well balanced with some good fast and long canters. All in all a very personalised and enjoyable ride.

The horses were extremely fit and well cared for. This must be the 15th trail I have done and I have yet to see horses so well looked after in terms of quantum and regularity of feed including natural supplements to support them on the ride. There performance reflected this and by the end of the trail there was little evidence of the usual weight loss.

To explain the accomodation score there was one Inn that was extremely 'tired' and Patrick noted this for consideration/review. It was a good fun evening however as some of the photo's will evidence!

The pace is quite but not too fast and some days are quite long in the saddle. Whilst we enjoy this us, riders do need to be aware and should be riding fit. Some of the longest canters I have ever done. Terrain was not difficult.

UT do manage to seek out interesting trails that are well off the beaten tourist routes which is a USP.

A really enjoyable ride - something would be lost I feel if the group were too large - we were spoilt, there were 4 of us and Patrick.
