This ride is for fit intermediate riders onwards. Fast and exciting riding up to 7 hours daily covering 40km each day. Here you have an opportunity to ride at all paces, take your own line on the beach and through endless forests on very fit Anglo Arab horses. Overnight accommodation is in small hotels or B&Bs, camping for a few nights midsummer.

SAMPLE ITINERARY - ATLANTIC COAST TREK
Day 1
Arrival at your accommodation. Dinner is free choice tonight and you can stroll into this lively seaside village and choose one of the local restaurants.
Day 2
Breakfast and then a walk to the riding centre where we discuss the week ahead and select horses. Your riding holiday really begins here as we start with a half day of exploring the local area. This gives you a chance to get to know your mount and make any changes that are necessary. Time to relax and enjoy the beach before a communal dinner. 4.5 hours riding. Lunch is not included today, leaving you free to find the perfect seafood restaurant.
Day 3
A very varied day which starts with a ride along the coast before you head inland to discover the Tielague Marsh, Sintias Lagoon and Bourg le Vieux Lake. In the afternoon we return towards the coast, riding through sand dunes before finishing with a ride along the banks of the River Courlis. 5-6 hours riding.
Day 4
The day starts with a ride across a large sandy plain, after which you ride around two lakes. After lunch you continue south to the idyllic village of Levignacq where we overnight. 5-7 hours riding.
Day 5
In the morning we explore an area known as the Grande Lande (forest) and ride along the banks of the River Mezos to your picnic spot. Afterwards we head back in the direction of the Bourgle Vieux lake via the Moulasse marshes. 5-6 hours riding.
Day 6
Another full days riding ahead! Start towards the Etang d'Aureilhan, a large lake. We spend the afternoon riding along the shores before finishing the day with a sunset gallop along the beach. 5-6 hrs riding.
Day 7
Today we enjoy an exciting half day (morning or afternoon, depending on the tide) with some gallops on the beach, leaving the rest of the day free to relax shopping or enjoying the surf. 4.5 hours riding. Lunch is not included today, leaving you free choice of restaurants.
Day 8
Departure after breakfast.

GETTING TO BORDEAUX

The weight limit for this ride is 14 st/198 lb/90 kg, please enquire if you are an experienced rider exceeding this weight.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
Accommodation 7 nights, full board except for dinner on night 1 and lunches on Days 2 and 7.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Transport to and from the Bordeaux, transfer from the meeting point, dinner on night one and lunch on days 2 and 7, items of a personal nature, any other drinks.
