Based in a comfortable hotel with many leisure facilities you can explore on of the most remote and open areas of Europe with endless beaches. Excellent riding on fit Icelandic horses, in the nearby forest and beach, with visits to the neighbouring tiny island of Mando and uninhabited Koresand are included. There are many activities and facilities for non riders on this trip.

SAMPLE ITINERARY - ROMO AND MANDO

Day 1
Saturday
Arrival and transfer to hotel on Romo Island. Your horse riding holiday starts with a video evening on arrival with coffee and cakes. Dinner and overnight. Join in the buffet and after dinner live music and dancing if you like.

Day 2
Sunday
We start with one hour theory on riding Icelandics and introduction to the tolt gait, followed by an introductory ride in the morning. After lunch we set out for a 2 hour forest tour. Rides are divided into beginner and experienced riders. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - 7
Monday - Thursday
Ride out twice daily on a beach ride (3 hours) or forest tours(2 hours), with a half day Romo tour of 5 hours riding. When the weather permits we swim with the horses. Towards the end of the week we will box the horses to Verster Vested and ride across the bottom of the sea to the small island of Mando. We will also do a day trip to the Island of Koresand on horseback to view the seal colony. You are free to relax and have a morning/afternoon or day off as you wish, or ride every session. When not riding enjoy the games room, large outdoor swimming pool or try some of the other beach activities available such as sea kayaking, beach sailing or visit the wellness and beauty spa for a range of treatments including massages and an indoor swimming pool (extra charge for some activities). Each night we return to the hotel on Romo for dinner and overnight.

NOTES - ROMO AND MANDO

Please note that this itinerary is entirely dependent on weather and tides. The order of horse rides may need to be changed or  it may on very few occasions not be possible to safely cross the sea bed on horseback due to exception tides or weather conditions.
