You can't use pictures or words to describe how amazing South Africa is until you get there and expereince it for yourself.

A small part of the reason why we chose Horizon was because it had a small swimming pool (plunge pool) however, when we got there it wasn't working. It would have been nice to know about this before packing swim suits etc. This really is a small point though, we had a fantastic time, regardless. But it would have been nice to have a dip in the pool to cool off.
The information on Horizons own website is out of date. Prior to going we looked at the website to see what else we could find out and discovered the safari dates displayed were from 2007!
There is so much that Horizon offer in terms of horse activities - it really was fabulous.

Some of the terraine was a little tricky, but the horses were used to it even if the riders weren't! The horses were forward going and we enjoyed some long canters and fast gallops! Horizons cross country course was great, although some of the jumps were very large and require quite a skilled and expereinced rider as well as horse. There was however something for every riding ability as long as the rider could comfortably stay balanced and in control in walk, trot and canter.

We thought that the whole service from start to finish has been fantastic from Unicorn and Horizon. We would alsop like to give a very special thanks to the Unicorn team for sending us a beautiful bunch of flowers and bottle of bubbly while on our honeymoon - we drank it on the jetty, watching the sun go down with a mum and baby hippo close by!

Just a massive thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable and special. I cried when we left Horizon and we will definitely be booking another trip to Horizon (just as soon as we can afford it!).
